Periodontology Stargard

Periodontology focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and conditions affecting the tissues supporting the teeth. Bleeding gums, swelling, gum recession, persistent bad breath or loose teeth are signs that should be assessed by a dentist.

During an appointment, we examine the gums, plaque and tartar deposits, periodontal pocket depth and tooth mobility. X-rays may be taken when clinically indicated. The findings help us develop an individual care plan.

Depending on the clinical assessment, care may include:

  • professional dental cleaning and tartar removal,
  • periodontal pocket cleaning when indicated,
  • management of inflammation and review appointments,
  • personalised advice on brushing and interdental cleaning,
  • regular follow-up and supportive periodontal care.

Healthy gums and supporting tissues are important for keeping natural teeth and planning long-lasting restorative, prosthetic, implant and orthodontic treatment. Early diagnosis can help limit further progression of periodontal disease.
